1st Artillery, (43rd Regiment), State Color. Organized as part of the Reserve Corps, the 1st Artillery was mustered into service in June 1861, and provided a state color in September 1861. The regiment was composed of men from Franklin, Lawrence, Philadelphia, York, Schuylkill, Susquehanna, Montour, Indiana, Luzerne, and Pennsylvania counties.
